Measurement of Personality

               We can only have the estimate or assessment of personality, as the true measurement of ones personality isns possible. The assessment can be made through the variety of techniques:

A)Self report test:

               It is also known as inventory-object test. Here the sample questions are dawn and the answer fill up in the question paper by pencil.

*Pros: Easy, cheaper etc.                

*Cons: Being oversmart to show behavior
B)Projective test

                This technique try to access total personality of an individual. Here an constructed stimuli (vague paper, ink bolts etc.) are given to structure them in any way s/he like. This method of test can be categorized under the following two ways;        

C)Behavioural/situational Test:

                 This theory consists behavior on a typical situation. Here, the observation method is used to understand the behavior of person. The observer can observe an individual in direct or indirect method which causes change in behavior of a person & may remain static.
